To calculate the fluid flow velocity in a pipeline, orifice flanges and orifice meters are utilized. Pressure “Tappings” are typically machined on the orifice flange, typically on two sides, directly across from one another. This does away with the requirement for various orifice carriers or tube wall tappings. On orifice flanges, raised faces or RTJ (Ring Type Joint) facings are typical. With extra milling, they are equivalent to weld neck and slip-on flanges. To examine or repair the orifice plate and seals, the flanges are separated using this screw jack. When joining orifice flanges, specifications should be followed. The manufacturer’s assembly instructions should be followed for integrated flow measuring instruments.
